About the Role

Responsibilities

• Respond courteously and timely to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of the building, hotel rooms, and equipment including laundry, kitchen/refrigeration, lighting, HVAC, water treatment systems, and swimming pools.
• Conduct inspections for preventative maintenance needs.
• Ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, and televisions.
• Replenish supplies efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring equipment is operational.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and within specifications.
• Record and report completed repairs and items requiring further attention.
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to work, break, and meal periods.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with the dress code.
• Maintain and promote a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the manager.

Requirements

• General knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, painting, and electrical is expected.
• Must have the ability to drive a pick-up truck for plowing snow.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires effective communication skills.
• Requires a professional manner.
• Requires the ability to work in a team.
• Requires the ability to make independent decisions.
