Responsibilities
- Respond courteously and timely to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of the building, hotel rooms, and equipment including laundry, kitchen/refrigeration, lighting, HVAC, water treatment systems, and swimming pools.
- Conduct inspections for preventative maintenance needs.
- Ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, and televisions.
- Replenish supplies efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring equipment is operational.
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and within specifications.
- Record and report completed repairs and items requiring further attention.
- Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to work, break, and meal periods.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with the dress code.
- Maintain and promote a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the manager.
Requirements
- General knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, painting, and electrical is expected.
- Must have the ability to drive a pick-up truck for plowing snow.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires effective communication skills.
- Requires a professional manner.
- Requires the ability to work in a team.
- Requires the ability to make independent decisions.
