About the Role

Faeth Therapeutics is seeking a highly self-motivated Vice President, Program Management to serve as the operational backbone of our pipeline. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless program progression, providing leadership with clear visibility into timelines and risks, and facilitating timely decision-making. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the operational efficiency of an ambitious biotech company as a genuinely AI-native operator, with an initial focus on our lead program, PIKTOR, and potential to expand to the broader portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated program plan, building and maintaining a single view of timelines, milestones, dependencies, and the critical path.
  • Make interdependencies between functions visible and actively managed.
  • Serve as the source of truth for program status, proactively surfacing roadblocks, slippage, and potential impacts to timelines to leadership.
  • Design and own the program governance model, including core team cadence, stage gates, decision rights, and escalation paths.
  • Draft OKRs and prepare for key decision points in partnership with functional leaders.
  • Anticipate strategic choices, frame options and trade-offs, and help build materials for executive decision-making.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner and right hand to the CEO on program direction.
  • Use AI extensively and by default to compress busywork and operate at a higher altitude.
  • Design and continuously improve dashboards, briefings, and communication tools to keep the company aligned on timelines and risks.
  • Track program-level budget, resourcing, and CRO/vendor coordination in partnership with Finance.
  • Maintain timeline and spend in conversation to make trade-offs explicit.
  • Serve as the internal quarterback for business development diligence and deal readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs and ensure a coherent, defensible data package for diligence.
  • Drive alignment and execution across functions through influence, not authority.
  • Build trust and credibility to hold senior colleagues to shared commitments and timelines.
  • Help prepare program-related board and investor materials.
  • Keep externally communicated timelines honest against the internal integrated plan.
  • Establish the tools, templates, and operating rhythms for program management as the organization scales.

Requirements

  • Approximately 10+ years in biotech/pharma drug development, with significant experience in program or portfolio management.
  • Direct experience taking a program through late-stage development to approval and/or commercialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs and influence senior executives without direct authority.
  • Proven balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with a bias toward execution and closure.
  • Deep, hands-on command of the integrated drug-development process across functions (clinical development, clinical operations, regulatory, CMC, nonclinical, finance, legal).
  • Genuinely AI-native: already using AI tools extensively in daily work and eager to push further.
  • Comfortable designing and iterating on dashboards, reporting, and communication tooling.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive-presentation skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complexity into clear, decision-ready narratives.
  • Experience supporting business development / corporate development diligence, alliance management, or partnership execution is a strong plus.
  • Thrives in a small, fast-moving, ambiguous environment; low-ego, collaborative, and comfortable ensuring nothing is missed.
  • Experience preparing board- or investor-facing materials is a plus.
