About the Role

AECOM Advisory is seeking talented management consultants to support our growing global Advisory business. You will be mission-driven to assist clients with capital investment programs, transformation projects, and asset enhancement initiatives. Roles can be based anywhere in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Build client relationships and manage interactions throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Manage inputs from regional leadership, Client Account Managers, and technical experts to flag key delivery choices, considerations, and risks.
  • Independently tailor existing analytical frameworks and methodologies for client-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to architect new analytical frameworks and methodologies.
  • Apply existing and hypothesize new solution frameworks to deconstruct, dimensionalize, and analyze client problems.
  • Leverage AI tools to conduct baseline assessments and secondary research.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, including with C-suite clients and senior management.
  • Create executive-ready decks to build buy-in and convey data-driven insights.
  • Synthesize multiple inputs into coherent insights across various formats.
  • Proactively coach and mentor junior staff on developing core consulting skills.
  • Support Capture Managers with proposal responses, including narrative and technical solutions development.
  • Create pitch decks and define AECOM Advisory’s value proposition.
  • Apply commercial acumen to understand client needs and budgetary requirements.
  • Research client contexts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Management consulting or corporate strategy experience or demonstrated equivalency.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with one or more relevant software packages.
  • Experience evaluating financial cashflows, particularly public finance, via Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client-service mindset.
  • Ability to act as a trusted adviser to clients.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams across broad geographies and business lines.
  • Ability to work in a high-tempo, client-facing environment and maintain poise under pressure.
  • Ability to be self-directed, anticipatory, and responsive to feedback.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Exceptional numerical reasoning and quantitative skills.
  • Sharp analytical, logical reasoning, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and willingness to have an informed point-of-view.
  • Solid verbal communication and narrative development skills.
  • Ability to summarize and convey key insights to C-suite and senior management audiences.
  • Collegial team-player who can work within a small, motivated team.
