About the Role
Lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms within Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech). Leverage technical acumen and engineering experience to drive strategy and execution of technically complex, cross-functional programs. Break down complexity, influence roadmaps, dive deep into system design and architecture, make technical tradeoffs, drive platform consolidation, and manage technical dependencies.
Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy and execution of large-scale, technically complex, cross-functional programs aligned with Capital One’s business priorities.
- Break down complexity and organizational silos.
- Influence roadmaps.
- Dive deep into system design and architecture.
- Make technical tradeoffs.
- Drive platform consolidation.
- Identify, resolve, define, and escalate mitigation plans for hard technical dependencies.
- Build and lead a world-class team of technical program managers.
- Lead technology focused discussions with senior leadership.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisions.
- Simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives.
- Focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
- Collaborate across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs
- Strong technical backgrounds with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle
- Experience building and leading a world-class team of technical program managers
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
- A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker
- Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners
- Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
- This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
- Eligibility varies based on full or part-time status, exempt or non-exempt status, and management level.
