About the Role

Pulse is seeking an experienced Band 7 Specialist Podiatrist with expertise in high-risk foot care and MSK podiatry to join a community podiatry service. The role involves managing a varied caseload, including high-risk patients and wound care, within a supportive multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload of high-risk podiatry patients
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring wound care and ulcer management
• Provide specialist MSK podiatry assessment and treatment
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Deliver patient education to support self-management and prevention strategies
• Make appropriate discharge decisions and onward referrals where required
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes

Requirements

• HCPC registered Podiatrist
• Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent
• Extensive experience managing high-risk foot caseloads
• Proven wound care and ulcer management experience
• Strong background in MSK Podiatry
• Confidence in patient discharge planning and onward referrals
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently within a clinic-based setting
