About the Role
Join Abacus Medicine Group in strengthening cyber security across an international healthcare organization. This role involves developing and operating our Security Operations capability based on the Microsoft Security platform, investigating problems, and owning solutions in a modern Microsoft environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate our Security Operations function (SOC)
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents
- Manage and optimize Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Defender for Identity
- Perform security assessments and identify vulnerabilities
- Drive root-cause analysis and implement long-term improvements
- Work closely with IT Operations, IT Support, and other stakeholders across the business
- Maintain security documentation, procedures, and policies
- Support security awareness and best-practice adoption across IT teams
- Stay current on emerging security threats, trends, and technologies
Requirements
- Around 3+ years of relevant experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, Network Administration, System Administration, or IT Security
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure environments
- Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and operational security processes
- Good understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive them through to resolution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Genuine interest in operational cyber security
