About the Role
As a Claim Manager at BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission of providing climate-friendly energy to Berlin. We are seeking individuals passionate about driving the local heat transition through innovative procurement strategies and modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contracts to effectively identify, evaluate, and enforce claims.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent future claims, incorporating lessons learned from ongoing projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners for successful claim resolution and prevention, ensuring clear communication in German and English.
- Conduct risk analyses and derive appropriate measures to minimize risks and secure project goals regarding costs, deadlines, and quality.
- Independently process, document, and monitor external and internal claims.
- Participate in the optimization, further development, and digitalization of claim management processes, including conducting training sessions on contract and claim management.
- Develop and establish contract management concepts for various business units, including performance and change order management.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a university of applied sciences/university degree in law, economics, industrial engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant professional experience in contract and/or claim management.
- Sound knowledge of EU public procurement law.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with excellent knowledge of purchasing contracts, particularly in handling change orders and performance issues.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, coupled with confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient knowledge of standard MS Office applications.
- Teamwork ability, assertiveness, and persuasiveness.
- Responsible and entrepreneurial thinking and action.
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Approximately 70% of the requirements are sufficient for application.
