About the Role
We are responsible for controlling and supporting our markets in the implementation of product quality standards, adhering to legal and internal regulations. If you have high quality standards and enjoy taking responsibility, join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for 7 METRO and METRO GASTRO markets in the greater Berlin area and northern surroundings, with 90% of the work performed on-site.
- Verify the implementation of quality standards and measures in market operations.
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits in markets.
- Evaluate quality-relevant processes and initiated measures for deviations.
- Offer technical support for developing processes related to internal quality standards and the HACCP system in market operations.
- Accompany external audits (IFS, MSC/ASC, Bio, GQB) in wholesale markets and assess results, including required measures for deviations.
- Assist in handling official complaints and customer feedback.
- Serve as a point of contact for colleagues and departments.
Requirements
- A degree in Food Technology, Nutritional Sciences, or a comparable technical qualification related to quality assurance, food production, etc.
- Knowledge in hygiene, HACCP, and other quality standards.
- Experience in operational quality assurance or quality management is advantageous.
- A further qualification in quality and certification standards is desirable.
- Good general IT user skills, especially in MS Office.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- A valid driver's license (car).
