About the Role
The Customer Experience & IT team shapes Japan’s business and technology landscape, driving impactful contributions to business success. This role ensures effective alignment of IT business application systems with business requirements and achieves sustainable operations through AZ IT standard operation methodology. It serves as the focal point for the business area for all IT needs, partnering to understand and anticipate strategic, market, and operational needs, and translating them into effective technical solutions. The role holder will lead and execute an application strategy powered by cutting-edge technologies to enable adaptation to organizational changes, product launches, and indication expansions.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the business value through ensuring effective alignment of IT systems and sustainable operations.
- Accountable for IT projects/IT system operations in all aspects of system life cycle management, ensuring Service Management processes are in scope.
- Lead the IT planning process for enhancing accountable IT systems or new business requirements, ensuring sound business cases and analyzing key business requirements.
- Develop service transition plans to ensure delivered solutions are sustainable in the production environment.
- Initiate, lead, and support IT projects and their delivery in accordance with project goals, time scales, and costs.
- Ensure the team adheres to all standards under AZ global IT Policies/Guidelines.
- Work with AZ global IT teams and preferred third-party suppliers to provide strategic and innovative technology solutions.
- Build strong strategic partnerships with customer groups and senior stakeholders to identify accurate customer forecasting, demand planning, and effective operations of IT solutions.
- Ensure effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project objectives with key business stakeholders.
- Make roadmap and implement, and maintain vendor engagement ownership in managing vendor strategies and roadmaps aligning to Commercial IT business needs.
Requirements
- Graduate degree and relevant work experience in computer science or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar or related role with a proven track record of delivering results and making the connections between technology and business benefit/value.
- Proven experience of IT projects, Deployment, Operation & Maintenance relevant to commercial systems of global companies.
- Deploying business analysis techniques to enable business change or complex systems operations.
- Experience of business demand intake, selection solution, implementing the solution and run the platform with continuous Kaizen.
- Project management experience with internal IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Strong engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including excellent presentation.
- Native or Business level Japanese.
- Business level English (meeting facilitation level).
