About the Role

Mace is seeking an NEC Supervisor to support the Project Management and Building Surveying teams in delivering a pipeline of Construction Projects using the NEC suite of contracts. The successful candidate will be supported by our Building Surveying team based in London.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of NEC Supervisor and site quality monitoring roles for central government departments.
  • Reviewing works on site for adherence with the design information, the contract, good working practice and manufacturers recommendations.
  • Collaboration with other disciplines such as Engineers, Architects, Project Managers and Client stakeholders.
  • Effective communication both verbally and written including ability to access and report on online information platforms.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and to work independently.
  • A focus on safety and a good understanding of the health and safety risk in construction.
  • Report progress, compliance and defects using traditional written reports and online platforms such as Asite and CEMAR.

Requirements

  • SC clearance will be required for this role, candidates who already hold this will be preferred.
  • SC Clearance (not essential)
  • Chartered Building Surveyor/Engineer/Architect (not essential)
  • NEC Supervisor Accreditation (not essential)

Skills

  • A strong understanding of the NEC contract and the role of the NEC Supervisor.
  • A strong grounding in building technology including modern methods of construction (MMC).
  • Effective communication both verbally and written including ability to access and report on online information platforms.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and to work independently.
  • A focus on safety and a good understanding of the health and safety risk in construction.
