About the Role

Macromedia University is seeking a Curriculum Planning Manager to manage semester-based teaching and scheduling, coordinate course operations, and ensure efficient use of resources. This role involves close collaboration with various university departments and contributes to optimizing data-driven teaching planning.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, execution, and follow-up of semester-based teaching and timetable planning
  • Operational scheduling of courses considering qualifications, availability, and teaching loads
  • Coordination of cancellations, substitutions, room allocation, and special formats (e.g., excursions, block courses)
  • Determining teaching and room requirements, and conducting capacity and scenario planning
  • Maintaining and updating timetables in the Student Information System and other planning tools
  • Serving as the point of contact for students, faculty, and staff on all matters related to teaching and timetable planning
  • Close collaboration with faculty management, deans, and other interfaces
  • Contributing to the optimization and further development of data-driven teaching planning

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial vocational training or a comparable university degree
  • First professional experience in planning and organization is desirable but not necessary
  • Analytical skills and a structured way of working
  • High level of accuracy, independence, and service orientation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Routine handling of software and initial experience in a university environment are desirable but not necessary
  • Good German and English language skills
