About the Role
Home Instead Wandsworth, Lambeth & Dulwich is seeking a compassionate Live-in Care Professional to provide relationship-led support to a 92-year-old gentleman in Battersea, helping him maintain independence in his own home.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Prepare meals according to Speech & Language Therapy (SALT) guidance
- Administer medication
- Assist with personal care, continence care, and oral hygiene
- Encourage mobility using a walking frame
- Support gentle daily exercises and walks
- Accompany client to appointments
- Perform light housekeeping
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns
Requirements
- Previous live-in or complex home care experience
- Confidence supporting clients with neurological conditions
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Caring, patient, and professional demeanor
- Reliable, observant, and proactive nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a focus on building meaningful relationships
