About the Role
Du designst und implementierst framework-agnostische Web Components, baust ein zentrales Design System auf Basis nativer Web-Standards auf, entwickelst eine Vue.js-Applikationslandschaft weiter, stellst Barrierefreiheit nach WCAG-Richtlinien sicher und bringst die Frontend-Sicht in API-Gespräche ein. Du verantwortest eine angemessene Testabdeckung und baust Frontend-Ownership bei Univention auf.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement framework-agnostic web components, resilient against XSS and other attack vectors.
- Support the definition of Content Security Policies.
- Develop a central design system based on native web standards.
- Take over an existing codebase, conduct an inventory, and gradually migrate it to the new design system.
- Develop according to WCAG guidelines – semantic HTML, keyboard accessibility, ARIA attributes.
- Contribute the frontend perspective in API discussions with backend, architects, and PM.
- Ensure adequate test coverage – unit tests, component tests, end-to-end tests.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge in Vanilla JS, HTML5, CSS3, and Web Components (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM).
- Clear understanding of OWASP Top 10 – XSS, CSRF, CORS misconfigurations, CSP.
- Experience in refactoring and debugging existing Vue.js codebases, state management (Pinia/Vuex), and router structures.
- Solid WCAG knowledge; BITV 2.0 is a plus.
- Ability to make independent UX decisions without a dedicated design team.
- Strong communication skills to represent frontend requirements objectively and clearly.
- Ability to structure, assess, prioritize, and develop unfamiliar codebases systematically.
- Proficient use of AI-powered tools in daily work.
- Very good written and spoken English skills.
- TypeScript – strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Python for reading backend code.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD experience.
- Basic understanding of IAM.
- German language skills.
