About the Role
The Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support for the firm’s market-leading Transportation & Space Group (TSG), focusing on aircraft, ship, satellite, and other asset financing and leasing transactions. This role involves drafting and managing legal documents, conducting due diligence, coordinating registrations, utilizing AI tools, and assisting with transaction closings.
Responsibilities
- Assist lawyers in all phases of asset finance and leasing transactions.
- Perform day-to-day matter management tasks.
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of finance, security, and leasing documents, including conditions precedent, board minutes, and corporate records.
- Conduct legal and title due diligence, including asset and security registry searches, managing virtual data rooms, and preparing diligence reports.
- Prepare and maintain conditions precedent and closing checklists, transaction bibles, and coordinate registrations and filings.
- Track and manage post-closing deliverables and deadlines.
- Support transaction closings, including preparing signature packets and assembling executed documents.
- Liaise with clients, lenders, counterparties, and external advisers.
- Conduct legal and company research and prepare research notes.
- Support the expansion of responsible use of AI tools on transactional matters.
- Assist with the preparation of pitches and business development materials.
- Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities.

- Proactive with the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and client matters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as transaction demands require.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with Claude, document management systems (e.g. iManage), and virtual data room platforms is an advantage.

Experience Level
- Preferable to have relevant experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within an asset finance, banking and finance or other legal transactions context, or otherwise a demonstrable interest in a career in similar areas of the law.
