About the Role
As a Supply Planner, you will be part of our Supply Chain team, responsible for understanding and ordering product to support business objectives, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with various teams and global suppliers to optimize inventory, manage lead times, and resolve supply chain issues.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with The Demand Planning Team to understand and order product to support business objectives.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient management of inventory levels within set KPIs (Inventory, DSI, excess & obsolete, Unit Fill Rate etc.).
- Actively review, manage, and update ETA of inbound purchase orders using ERP/JDA and Excel based reporting.
- Updating arrival dates where necessary.
- Work closely with factories / suppliers on Lead-Time improvements & supplier performance to serve markets with optimum Inventory and at least costs.
- Use Data Analytics, ABC / Threshold Analysis and other tools to maintain right inventory levels with right quality at right location.
- Tracking & expediting production to ensure orders are filled on time and that Service Levels are at target.
- Manage global suppliers, GSMA, Third Party Suppliers, factories & DCs to prioritize production/replenishment, constraint management & supply / network optimization / logistical issues.
- Make recommendations to resolve.
- As a key Stakeholder in S&OP process, Work with sales, marketing, supply chain, suppliers and manufacturing for successful new product introductions, product life cycle, trends & seasonality, and phase in/out processes.
- Avoid stock outs and/or excess & obsolescence.
- Define and implement improvement projects.
- Identify root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions by working together with cross functional teams to deliver/Exceed on Targets.
- Own and manage the JDA supply planning system, leverage IT platforms such as SAP, BW etc., for data driven decision making.
- Regularly review and update system settings, maintain planning parameters (MOQ, Lead Time etc.) to maintain a clean and robust working environment.

- Strong Business Acumen & good Time Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Both in Japanese and English
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated and result oriented.
- Expert in the JDA supply planning systems to support availability and drive planning efficiency.
