About the Role

We are looking for engineers who build and operate distributed systems at scale. If you have designed resilient systems, debugged distributed failures, and enjoy solving difficult infrastructure problems, this role is for you. MAX continuously senses, reasons, and surfaces the decisions that need attention for enterprise procurement teams. We're building the infrastructure that makes autonomous AI dependable at enterprise scale. The next phase involves scaling our infrastructure, integrations, and AI capabilities globally.

Responsibilities

Own platform capabilities end-to-end.
Design resilient distributed systems.
Build scalable backend services and APIs.
Improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Raise engineering standards and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

7+ years building production backend systems.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and deep proficiency in Python.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, MCP, databases, and event-driven architectures.
Experience operating systems at scale.
Experience with observability and incident response.
