About the Role
Lead the strategic direction, growth, and success of Western Sydney University Sydney City Campus (WSUSCC) and its pathway college, SIBT. Provide inspiring leadership across academic, operational, commercial, and student experience functions to ensure a seamless student journey from pathway studies to degree completion. Drive sustainable growth, academic excellence, outstanding student outcomes, and strong financial and operational performance while fostering a high-performance culture and strengthening a key university partnership.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across SIBT and WSUSCC, driving sustainable growth, enrolment performance, pathway conversion, and the successful delivery of strategic, operational, and commercial objectives.
- Lead and strengthen the partnership between Western Sydney University and Navitas, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and ensuring strong alignment of strategic priorities and shared goals.
- Champion academic excellence and an exceptional student experience, fostering a culture focused on student success, engagement, retention, progression, and graduate outcomes.
- Drive financial performance, commercial growth, and operational sustainability, delivering budget, revenue, and profitability targets while identifying opportunities for innovation and managing business risks.
- Develop and inspire high-performing teams, building organisational capability and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective governance, compliance, and operational excellence, maintaining quality standards, managing risk, and overseeing the infrastructure, systems, and resources that support long-term success.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably at postgraduate level.
- Significant senior management experience within higher education.
- Demonstrated success leading organisational growth and transformation.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial management capability.
- Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level partnerships.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams.
- Sound understanding of Australian higher education regulation and quality frameworks.
- Ability to operate effectively within complex partnership and matrix environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
