About the Role
The company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Thermal Management to develop new product ideas, concepts, and 3D CAD designs for devices, systems, and assemblies, including micro-mechanics and micro-electronics. This role involves detailed design of mechanical assemblies, ensuring manufacturability, and performing stress calculations. A key responsibility is designing cooling and ventilation concepts for electronic devices.
Responsibilities
- Development of new product ideas, concepts, and 3D CAD designs for devices, systems, assemblies, standard modules, micro-mechanics, and micro-electronics.
- Detailed design of mechanical assemblies and manufacturing-ready solutions.
- Detailed design and stress analysis.
- Design of cooling and ventilation concepts for electronic devices.
- Management of product data in the PDM system, including change management, product maintenance, and technical documentation.
- Support for the manufacturing of development samples, series production launch, and type testing.
- Coordination of work packages, time and effort estimations, and calculation of manufacturing costs.
- Close collaboration with electronics, software, manufacturing, and other specialist departments.
Requirements
- Completed degree in precision engineering or microtechnology, mechatronics, mechanical engineering with a focus on design, or a comparable qualification.
- Practical professional experience in 3D CAD design, ideally with NX.
- Basic knowledge of thermal processes and cooling of electrical devices.
- Knowledge in the calculation of mechanical structures and the design of statically and dynamically loaded components.
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering.
- Dedicated, independent, and team-oriented way of working.
- Confident demeanor, strong communication skills, and intercultural competence.
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
