About the Role
Perform BIM modeling and coordination tasks, assist in developing Revit standards, families, project templates, workflows, and procedures. Support corporate objectives by maintaining high-quality service for internal and external stakeholders. Expected to assist with traditional 2D CAD work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed models and drawings for Structured Cabling Systems, Outside Plant Infrastructure, Audio Visual Systems, Security Systems, DAS, and other low voltage disciplines using AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM360, and Navisworks.
- Assist in developing and maintaining BIM/AutoCAD standards, processes, libraries, and templates.
- Make recommendations for software, training, and hardware to enhance the BIM/AutoCAD program.
- Provide 3D Renderings of specific rooms for customer proposal packages.
- Develop knowledge of BIM and Bosch Building Technologies' installed systems.
- Attend BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with external partners to resolve clashes within project models.
- Review and understand project-specific Design Intent, BIM Execution Plan, and/or Project Execution Plan.
- Perform Electronic Take-offs using Autodesk applications or Bluebeam Revu.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and soft skills, including approachability, teamwork, adaptability, creative thinking, problem-solving, and willingness to teach.
- Develop and maintain skillsets in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, ACC, Navisworks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Perform miscellaneous design, drafting, modeling, or office tasks as directed.
- Ensure timely and complete submittal of drawing sets in accordance with project plans and schedules.
- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of drafting and design experience in IT, instrumentation and controls, electronics, and/or security industries.
- Ability to create aesthetically pleasing, legible, and accessible drawings.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, IP networks, low voltage electronics, power and communications, Windows desktop operating system, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of the physical security and/or technology industries, including products, technologies, trends, and applications.
- Understanding of and experience with fundamental concepts pertaining to IP networks, low voltage electronics, power, and communications.
- Strong command of the English language supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and projects and be responsive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated self-starter with ambition to independently research new technologies and methodologies.
