About the Role
Fenwick is seeking a Temporary Financial Systems Analyst to serve as a critical link between financial operations and technology platforms. This role supports, maintains, and optimizes financial applications, focusing on efficiency through automation and AI-enabled tools. The position ensures platform stability, provides end-user support, develops integrations, and participates in system upgrades, bridging finance and technology in a law firm setting. This is a full-time, exempt, temporary role expected to last 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary support resource for the Firm’s financial applications.
- Administer systems, including user setup, access controls, and security maintenance.
- Perform database-level support, including working with accounting software data structures, SQL tables, and queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, workflow, and integration issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements.
- Use APIs, database tools, and automation solutions to extend system functionality and improve integration.
- Participate in software implementations, upgrades, testing, and validation efforts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization, including through automation and AI-assisted capabilities.
- Support reporting and data analysis needs by ensuring accurate system data.
- Assist users in leveraging system features and tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Document system configurations, processes, and support activities.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to non-technical users.
- Maintain strong working relationships across Finance and other departments.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive financial and client data, including appropriate use of AI-enabled tools.
Requirements
- Basic to intermediate SQL querying and report writing skills.
- Experience in Aderant application administration, including user setup and security configuration.
- Familiarity with workflows, system integrations, and API usage.
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Power Automate or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted features within business applications or reporting tools is a plus.
- General understanding of data quality, structure, and governance as it relates to reporting and analytics.
- Experience with Aderant Classic and Aderant Expert applications and modules is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Aderant database architecture, SQL tables, and data structures is a plus.
- Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
- Exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.
- Interest in continuous improvement and openness to adopting new tools and technologies, including automation and AI.
