About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our thriving Sydney team to work on a range of exciting projects in Sydney and across Australia. You will support senior team members and the team leader with delivering transport planning projects, evaluate and analyze traffic and transport data, and provide input into technical transport planning reports. You will primarily work within the transport planning team both in Sydney and nationally, collaborating across disciplines with our transportation engineering, design, and analytics teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the senior team members and team leader with delivering transport planning projects including active transport strategies, parking strategies, integrated transport plans, precinct master planning, public transport advisory, network studies, and transport management and accessibility plans (TMAP).
- Evaluate and analyze traffic and transport data.
- Provide input into technical transport planning reports.
- Assist in delivering a variety of transport planning projects.
- Assist with preparation of transport planning and multi-disciplinary proposals and feasibility studies.
- Attend project meetings with project team and client/technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and work with an energetic and motivated team of professionals in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Town/ Urban Planning or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of previous transport planning experience, ideally in consultancy.
- Ability to describe transport planning issues in an easy to understand and presentable manner.
- Desire to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in data extraction, evaluation and analysis.
- Ideally GIS skills and experience.
