About the Role
As an Adventure Readiness Specialist, you will provide seamless care during peak seasonal periods, ensuring owners' vehicles are ready for their journey. This role offers hands-on development experience focused on preparing you for a future as a Service Technician.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
- Maintain vehicle quality and delivery readiness through washing, detailing, and charging.
- Manage vehicle logistics, including lot organization, shuttling, and key management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service center environment adhering to 5S principles.
- Assist technicians with basic vehicle repairs, focusing on Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) tasks and Express Lane work.
- Learn to safely use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Support the workshop by maintaining tool and equipment readiness.
- Participate in the TRAIL program for hands-on learning, technical training, and professional growth.
- Receive mentorship and on-the-job training for the Service Technician role.
- Complete Rivian Learning Network (RLN) modules.
- Explore a pathway into a career as a Service Technician.
- Provide cross-functional support to other areas of the business as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent credential preferred.
- Previous technical experience (e.g., automotive repair, mechanical maintenance, electrical work) or experience in an adjacent technical industry (e.g., aviation, HVAC, manufacturing) is highly preferred.
- Strong desire to learn, high adaptability, and passion for working with hands.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with no driving-related suspensions or revocations within a 3-5 year period.
- Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week, including varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical exertion may be required, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, using tools, entering data, writing, or calling.
- Ability to see, read, and interpret documents such as regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or schematics.
- May require regular interaction with customers, affiliates, and suppliers.
