About the Role

Transgrid is seeking a Land & Property Officer on a 15-month fixed-term contract to support the delivery of capital projects by coordinating land and property activities. This role involves supporting land access and acquisition, managing documentation, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the management of Transgrid's property portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating land access activities for capital projects, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
  • Supporting land acquisition activities, including liaising with Land Agents, legal teams and key stakeholders to facilitate the acquisition of land and property interests.
  • Supporting land access and acquisition activities.
  • Managing property-related documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative, environmental and governance requirements.
  • Contributing to the management of Transgrid's network and non-network property portfolio, easements, land information systems, policies and standards.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, including Land Agents, legal representatives and project teams.

Requirements

  • Organised and proactive property professional with experience supporting infrastructure or major capital projects.
  • Experience building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience navigating complex land and property matters.
  • Experience delivering outcomes in a collaborative environment.
  • Degree qualifications in Property, Land Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in land and property management, ideally within infrastructure, utilities or major projects.
  • Knowledge of land access, property negotiations, compulsory acquisition and relevant NSW and Commonwealth legislation.
  • Experience supporting land acquisition activities and working with legal, property and project stakeholders.
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical specialists or multidisciplinary project teams will be highly regarded.
