About the Role
As a Senior Business Development Representative, you will be a key driver of new business acquisition within targeted strategic segments. Leveraging your proven expertise, you will lead innovative outbound strategies, build pipelines, and act as a mentor to junior BDRs. This role demands an experienced BDR who can navigate complex sales cycles, build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and consistently exceed performance targets. You will lead strategic outbound campaigns, conduct in-depth prospect research, and expertly qualify leads. You will also be responsible for coordinating strategic discovery calls and demonstrations with the Account Executive team, ensuring seamless transitions and maximizing conversion rates and revenue. Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, engage, and qualify high-value prospects within strategic industries, focusing on mid-market and enterprise-level accounts.
- Create and execute strategic outbound campaigns, utilizing a multi-channel approach (phone, email, social media) to generate qualified opportunities.
- Conduct thorough discovery calls to understand complex business needs, identify pain points, and align Deputy's solutions with strategic objectives.
- Effectively leverage marketing collateral, including case studies, white papers, and presentations, to enhance prospect engagement and accelerate the sales cycle.
- Navigate a high volume of sales inquiries and proactively reach out to prospects via phone calls (90% of your role will focus on outbound leads).
- Accurately document prospects' pain points and business cases in our CRM (Salesforce) and maintain up-to-date records.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to refine prospecting strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Analyze sales data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance pipeline generation and conversion rates.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior BDRs, sharing best practices and contributing to their professional development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of proven outbound sales experience, with a focus on mid-market and enterprise-level accounts.
- Proven track record of success in a BDR or similar role, with a focus on outbound sales and mid-market and enterprise-level accounts.
- Extensive experience in developing and executing strategic outbound account plans, research, and prospecting strategies.
- Exceptional ability to engage and build rapport with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and resilience; adaptability to the dynamics of startup life.
- Ability to engage key decision-makers and translate their pain points into viable product solutions.
- Experience qualifying prospects and effectively relaying insights to Account Executives.
