About the Role
Join a close-knit team dedicated to preparing and maintaining Council parks, sports fields, ovals, and turf wickets to create vibrant, high-quality community spaces.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and renovation of parks, sports fields, and turf wickets according to service agreements and rosters.
- Provide recommendations for annual improvement and maintenance programs.
- Inspect sports fields and ovals to determine suitability for use, particularly after heavy rainfall.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Support staff training and skills development.
- Conduct risk and hazard assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Identify, report, and rectify landscape deficiencies.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Greenkeeping, Horticulture, or a related field.
- C Class Drivers Licence.
- Chemical Users Accreditation Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in sports field preparation and maintenance.
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit with unrestricted working rights.
- Ability to pass a Criminal History Check, Medical, and/or Working with Children Check.
