About the Role

Join a close-knit team dedicated to preparing and maintaining Council parks, sports fields, ovals, and turf wickets to create vibrant, high-quality community spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and renovation of parks, sports fields, and turf wickets according to service agreements and rosters.
  • Provide recommendations for annual improvement and maintenance programs.
  • Inspect sports fields and ovals to determine suitability for use, particularly after heavy rainfall.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Support staff training and skills development.
  • Conduct risk and hazard assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify, report, and rectify landscape deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Greenkeeping, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Chemical Users Accreditation Certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in sports field preparation and maintenance.
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit with unrestricted working rights.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal History Check, Medical, and/or Working with Children Check.
