About the Role

As a key member of the Commercial Strategy Leadership Team, the Principal will drive commercial strategy advisory services with life sciences clients, focusing on areas like Corporate & Portfolio Strategy, New Product Planning, BD&L Support, and Launch/Go-to-Market Strategy. This role involves identifying innovative initiatives, contributing as a strategic business partner, and leading client proposal and project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial strategy advisory services with new and existing life sciences clients.
  • Provide services including Corporate & Portfolio Strategy, New Product Planning, BD&L Support, and Launch/Go-to-Market Strategy.
  • Work with functional leadership to identify additional opportunities to meet client needs.
  • Identify innovative initiatives and implement them.
  • Contribute as a strategic business partner to senior management.
  • Develop short and long-term goals and spearhead related activities.
  • Lead and ensure superb delivery on client proposals and projects with assigned staff support.
  • Create business opportunities in collaboration with other Leadership Team members.
  • Serve as the management-level contact for client discussions, presentations, and project implementations.
  • Develop and grow business through lead and revenue generation, team expansion, and capability enhancement.
  • Source additional business by managing existing accounts and securing new ones.
  • Meet individual and team revenue goals.
  • Proactively engage staff in business development opportunities.
  • Act as Trinity’s expert resource for clients and develop external thought-partner relationships.
  • Support senior management as an innovative thought-leader.
  • Oversee budgets, exceed revenue goals, and maintain expenses for pricing and budget control.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on multiple therapeutic and/or practice areas.
  • Lead internal and external initiatives to further the firm’s status and capabilities.
  • Be accountable for the overall progression of staff, focusing on developing future management.
  • Lead and manage assigned teams, ensuring excellence in client deliverables and staff progression.
  • Identify development opportunities for staff and supervisors, provide guidance, and facilitate their success.
  • Mentor staff and supervisors on professional growth.
  • Oversee staff and supervisor training, identifying needs and facilitating opportunities.
  • Identify key contributors and high-potential employees for retention.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of client projects, guiding teams and owning deliverables.
  • Set strategic direction for project activities, guiding supervisors on daily tasks and resource allocation.
  • Serve as an exemplary role model for producing quality results, high work ethics, professionalism, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree with a life science focus, or an MBA with a demonstrated interest in the life science field.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting or a related position within the life sciences/health care industry.
  • Experience leading & driving life science projects including: corporate & portfolio strategy, brand & marketing excellence, and strategic engagements.
  • Excellent quantitative skills and direct experience with complex commercial analyses and assignments.
  • Advanced project-management skills.
  • Demonstrated success with client development.
  • Successful team management and staff development.
  • Above average proficiency in MSOffice Suite and other consulting-related software.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Desire and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
