About the Role
This is a key role within the APAC regional Digital Technology (DT) network, overseeing Collins Aerospace Australia's DT operations. You will collaborate with functional peers and the global DT network to build a stable and functional digital technology environment for Australian operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, technical support, and administration of local infrastructure (network/servers/storage), including installing, testing, maintaining, patching, and upgrading servers, databases, applications, and backup solutions.
- Manage vendors, contracts, and internal customer relationships to ensure required service levels.
- Assist with scoping and implementing application and infrastructure solutions, ensuring they are supportable and aligned with strategic roadmaps.
- Ensure DT Infrastructure and Applications controls follow DT policies and SOX requirements, producing and reviewing compliance reports.
- Own and manage DT issues and solutions to completion.
- Drive continuous improvement of DT systems/services.
- Manage the budget and track costs of DT services, hardware, and software.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise DT organization to leverage DT applications and resources.
- Manage and support local entities' DT projects to meet business requirements and milestones, aligned with strategic plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, ICT, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
- 10 years of IT related work experience.
- At least three years in a lead role.
- 3 or more years of experience supporting DELL and VMWARE based servers.
- 3 or more years of experience supporting local area network infrastructure.
- Experience managing and maintaining Cloud services and platforms.
- Experience managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers.
- Experience managing applications such as SharePoint.
- Experience managing Atlassian toolchain such as Jira, Bitbucket/Git, Bamboo and Confluence.
- Experience managing multi-platform software development and build systems including Windows and Linux.
- Experience with high availability and clustered servers.
- Experience with maintenance of product lifecycle management systems such as Windchill.
- Experience with database (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc) administration and maintenance.
- Leadership and project management skills with strategic and systems thinking.
- Pro-active with a high energy level and a positive attitude.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication/interpersonal skills.

- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government/Defence Security Clearance (NV1 standing).
- This position requires Australian Citizenship.
- Eligibility to be certified compliant with US ITAR technology and related global covenants.
