About the Role

This role supports the deployment, integration, and validation of complex electromechanical systems at customer and satellite sites, focusing on field integration and mechanical systems rather than software development. The Systems Integration, Verification & Validation Engineer acts as a key interface between internal systems and customer environments, ensuring successful integration, commissioning, validation, and lifecycle support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the integration of complete systems at customer and satellite sites
  • Conduct Verification & Validation (V&V) activities to ensure systems meet operational and customer requirements
  • Support operational deployment, installation, commissioning and acceptance activities
  • Work closely with field service engineers during system deployment and in-service support
  • Investigate and resolve integration issues arising during installation, deployment and operation
  • Act as the primary engineering contact for mechanical integration activities
  • Assess and manage mechanical interfaces between company systems and third-party/customer equipment
  • Support mechanical assembly, build and installation activities
  • Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting across integrated electromechanical systems
  • Develop test procedures, integration plans, validation documentation and technical reports
  • Support customer acceptance testing and operational readiness activities
  • Provide engineering support for deployed systems and respond to field-based technical issues

Requirements

  • Verification & Validation (V&V) experience within complex engineering systems
  • Strong background in field integration and operational deployment activities
  • Experience integrating systems within customer or operational environments
  • Mechanical systems integration experience
  • Practical fault-finding and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience supporting installation, commissioning or deployment activities
  • Ability to assess and resolve issues across mechanical and electromechanical interfaces
  • Experience working independently at customer sites and managing technical issues through to resolution
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work alongside customers, service engineers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • This role requires you to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check (BPSS) as a minimum and some roles will require further national security vetting checks.
  • In line with Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
  • Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
