About the Role

The IT Data Scientist, Sr will be part of the team executing our AI strategy, designing and implementing advanced AI solutions to solve complex business challenges supporting multiple enterprise functions. This role involves developing and implementing solutions using generative AI, traditional data science algorithms, LLMs, CNNs and Vision Transformers while applying software engineering best practices. You will be at the forefront of delivering end-to-end GenAI solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address their business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing advanced AI solutions to solve complex business challenges.
  • Developing and implementing solutions using generative AI, traditional data science algorithms, LLMs, CNNs and Vision Transformers.
  • Applying software engineering best practices.
  • Delivering end-to-end GenAI solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address business needs.
  • Provides supervision to direct reports.
  • Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information.
  • May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
  • Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
  • Has a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions.
  • Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Data Science or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of Data Science or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr Director level and above).
  • 2+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
