About the Role
A Sales Associate supports the Store Leadership Team in achieving Company goals and initiatives. The Store Associate represents the brand, operates professionally, engages customers, maintains store standards, and supports teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Leadership Team in achieving all Company goals and initiatives.
- Represents the brand and operates in a professional manner.
- Engages customers and provides fast, friendly, and accurate service at the point of sale.
- Maintains store standards, including merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
- Supports teamwork and contributes to a flexible and enjoyable team atmosphere.
- Responds to customer activity with urgency, prioritizing customer assistance.
- Demonstrates product and service knowledge to build sales and minimize returns.
- Exercises sound judgment in addressing customer concerns.
- Maintains appropriate stock levels and ensures all sizes and styles are represented.
- Performs daily housekeeping duties to Company standard.
- Guarantees Company assets by ensuring adherence to all Loss Prevention procedures.
- Constructively shares suggestions, ideas, and concerns with Store Leadership.
- Embraces responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes rapidly and constantly.
- Ability to perform a continuous process of loading and unloading large boxes throughout a scheduled shift.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, kneel, and carry product for customer service, inventory re-stock, shipment processing, and store merchandising.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. without restrictions.
- Ability to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.
- Ability to use and climb ladders and/or step stools.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions (i.e., hanging, folding, ringing up customers, etc.).
- Ability to use caution with difficult customers, houseless and/or transients and avoid confrontations.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Works well independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and Holidays.
- Ability to utilize retail POS System & Inventory Scanner.
- Must be able to make change using American Monetary units.
- Must be receptive to both positive and constructive feedback from the Store Leadership Team.
