About the Role
This role is within the Assessment Division at NESA, responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing assessment and examination processes for students in NSW. As the Senior Project Officer (SPO), Online Exams, you will manage timely and effective support for NESA exam programs, including HSC online exams, online tests, and written and oral exams. You will oversee the delivery of exam support team functions, provide training, and foster strong working relationships with stakeholders to achieve team goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the exam support team in developing support materials for exams, online testing, and language oral exam conduct.
- Manage staffing and resource support for HSC presiding officers, support staff, and helpdesk teams, including recruitment and development.
- Oversee project planning, UAT testing, and coordination of online exam and other online testing support.
- Plan and manage exam support activities for HSC and other NESA exams.
- Oversee the HSC languages oral exam conduct program.
- Ensure effective, timely provision and analysis of data, and provide recommendations for improvement and process management.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and industrial requirements, Working With Children Check compliance, and focus on continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience managing high-volume activities and online exams with critical timelines and limited resources.
- Strong capabilities in managing sensitive and confidential matters related to employment and high-stakes examinations.
- High level of stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiating and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- NSW driver’s licence.
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance for paid employment.
- High-level experience in managing helpdesks, analysis, project management, or administration.
- Strong understanding and capabilities in running large-scale online exams with critical timeframes.
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident for ongoing roles.

- $129,464 to $142,665 p.a.
