About the Role

The LCRA System P&C (SCADA) group is seeking a motivated individual to install, commission, maintain, and repair critical SCADA monitoring and control equipment across various substations. This role involves providing technical support to operations and engineering teams while building expertise through structured guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced technicians with projects involving System Operations, Generation, Relay and Control Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Services, and ERCOT.
  • Perform maintenance, installation, commissioning, and integration of RTUs, Data Concentrators, Revenue Meters, Protective Relays, HMI systems, and GPS clocks.
  • Maintain and install network equipment including routers, switches, and serial to IP transceivers.
  • Integrate and test devices into Transmission Services SubWAN for remote access and D2F functionality.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with ERCOT protocols.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in construction or maintenance of power substation protection, SCADA, diagnostic, metering, or control systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Relevant degree in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, or computer science may substitute for experience requirements.
