About the Role
This role is designed for an Associate Family Lawyer looking to build expertise within a leading specialist family law firm. It offers exposure to complex matters, mentorship, greater responsibility, and a clear career progression pathway, allowing you to focus on practicing law.
Responsibilities
- Manage family law matters with appropriate supervision and support
- Work on parenting, property and financial matters
- Draft legal documents and correspondence
- Participate in mediations, negotiations and court appearances
- Build strong relationships with clients during significant life events
- Collaborate with experienced practitioners, barristers and external professionals
Requirements
- 2-5 years PAE in Family Law
- Experience assisting with and managing family law matters
- Exposure to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
- Strong drafting and communication skills
- Sound judgement and attention to detail
- A client-focused approach
- A genuine passion for family law
- A desire to continue developing professionally and progressing your career
- LEAP experience is advantageous but not essential
