About the Role

LCRA's Telecom Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects building Texas's critical telecom infrastructure. This role offers valuable, technical, hands-on training to manage projects involving various critical communication infrastructures and technologies, with purposeful work that improves the lives of Texans.

Responsibilities

• Encourage collaboration among project teams and represent Telecom PMO positively and with professionalism.
• Manage projects including project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring compliance with governance and financial policies.
• Minimize project exposure to risks by identifying, managing, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Act as primary contact for project stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and resolving action items.
• Actively support departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel independently or with a small team to project sites as needed.

Requirements

• Nine or more years of experience in project controls, project management or work package management.
• Two or more years managing projects (including managing scope, schedule and budget) or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in project management, business, finance, economics, engineering, construction management, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Driver's license.

Skills

• Experience in Primavera P6 for managing project schedules.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
