About the Role
This role involves coordinating field placements for social work courses and teaching the newly implemented Masters of Social Work Course. You will ensure students are academically and practically prepared for work placements, maintain regulatory compliance, enhance student engagement, and ensure academic success through effective placements.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and develop current, relevant material for fieldwork placements.
- Oversee the assessment process to align with learning outcomes, ensuring program quality and compliance with AE standards and regulatory bodies.
- Engage in professional development to enhance teaching quality and stay current with emerging practices.
- Deliver engaging placement induction programs and ensure students meet requirements for successful placement experiences.
- Incorporate feedback from agencies to enhance the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the investigation and resolution of incidents.
Requirements
- Post-graduate qualification in Social Work or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for membership in relevant professional bodies.
- 3+ years' post-qualification relevant industry experience.
- Willingness to undertake at least 20 hours of continued professional development each year.
- High professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to teaching and industry engagement.
- Strong understanding of theory and practice in the relevant discipline.
