About the Role
The Associate Vice President, Student Experience provides strategic leadership for the design, development, and delivery of initiatives that enhance the student experience. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role focuses on career readiness, experiential learning, and mentorship to support the university's mission of developing Leaders with Heart.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive student experience strategy aligned with institutional mission and graduate outcomes.
- Lead efforts to expand participation in experiential learning, mentorship, internships, and global engagement.
- Provide strategic oversight for career development services and student career readiness programs.
- Identify emerging trends and best practices in higher education and student development.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to increase internship opportunities and employer engagement.
- Work with Advancement, Recruitment, and Marketing to enhance the quality and impact of student-facing programs.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to direct reports.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to student satisfaction and career outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Seven to ten years of leadership experience in higher education, student success, or a related field.
- Proven success leading teams and managing complex, institution-wide initiatives.
- Experience leading organizational change and service transformation.
- Experience overseeing budgets, operational planning, and performance measurement.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
