About the Role
The Product Engineer I supports the development and release of high-frequency products from design completion through manufacturing and catalog release. This role provides program management support across multiple projects, combining technical product engineering with project coordination to ensure products meet objectives and are efficiently deployed to market.
Responsibilities
- Support the design of amplifiers, multi-function modules, and passive devices operating from DC to 110 GHz.
- Assist in the transition of design prototypes from engineering to production.
- Generate preliminary documentation for catalog release.
- Participate in final design review meetings and first production run readiness reviews.
- Support training of production personnel.
- Inspect engineering assembly, identify gaps, and provide recommendations for correction.
- Document specific methodologies and update procedures and tools.
- Track technical developments according to established schedules and cost metrics.
- Collaborate with various company departments on preferred methodologies.
- Support and participate in ISO audits and Management Review.
- Work on product development projects with associated departments involved in product design, characterization, qualification, and release to production.
- Assist Design Engineers with planning new Product Development projects and driving the Product Generation Process requirements.
- Document the status of work effort relative to the plan using project tracking tools.
- Report project status to stakeholders and leadership.
- Escalate projected challenges and shortfalls in a timely manner.
- Close projects in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Comply with and support corporate safety initiatives.
- Abide by Company’s Code of Conduct.
Requirements
- Experience or coursework in microwave and millimeter-wave hardware design, including electrical, mechanical, thermal, and test.
- Demonstrated ability to understand if measured results are correct and agree with theory.
- Demonstrated hands-on ability to assemble, tune, test, and troubleshoot hardware in a laboratory environment.
- Basic understanding of surface mount and microelectronic chip-and-wire manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Salary/Compensations
- $105,000 - $120,000
