About the Role

Q2 is seeking a Senior Fraud Analyst responsible for identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activities across our platforms. This role involves collaborating with fraud and risk teams, educating stakeholders on fraud management best practices, and analyzing data to detect and prevent fraudulent card transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expertise for card-based risk and fraud prevention- related activities
  • Play an active role in card fraud prevention activities, including writing fraud rules and working with payment partners
  • Consult with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective rule writing efforts
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on card fraud management best practices and partner fraud tools
  • Evaluate existing and potential tools and processes to enhance detection/prevention
  • Monitor strategy performance and report on overall fraud losses
  • Reconcile key performance and risk metrics and condense/summarize stakeholder performance for executives and partners
  • Drive stakeholder reductions in fraud losses through model management, analytics, and reporting
  • Own documentation efforts around fraud products and strategies
  • Build strong relationships with business partners, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Research industry and technology trends, review professional publications, and identify new best practices

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in card product management, card processing or card risk management with a Bachelor’s in Business, Management, Engineering, CS, or related field; or an advanced degree with 6 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience with card risk management systems preferred
  • Visa and Visa DPS risk tools experience highly preferred
  • Previous risk management or financial services, card payment processing, or fintech experience highly preferred
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong process management capabilities, demonstrated ability manage fraud on card programs at scale
  • Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results with minimal assistance
  • Highly determined and driven to achieve results with a clear track record of doing so
  • Detail oriented with an eye for data analysis
  • An effective communicator that can align internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa
