About the Role
Forklift Operators load, unload, move and rotate products while safely operating and maintaining a powered industrial lift truck or other material handling equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining warehouse operations and ensuring efficient product flow.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift in warehouse environment to rotate and stack product
- Maintain all personal safety equipment
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures concerning safety in the workplace
- Help maintain the physical condition of the warehouse with a real sense of urgency, planning and implementing; inspecting equipment to optimize safety conditions
- Maintain an open line of communication with supervisors ensuring appropriate production levels are attained according to company standards
- Review processes and propose more efficient methods for completing assigned tasks
- Utilize warehouse technology including management systems software and hardware
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent
Skills
- Forklift certified
- Technologically Savvy
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs to shoulder height
- Capable of lifting 165 lb barrel off the floor
