About the Role

Software Ecosystem Management (SEM) is a new OCI initiative focused on creating a trusted view of Oracle’s software ecosystem. SEM processes large volumes of software metadata, normalizes it, and helps teams understand ownership, lifecycle state, and dependency relationships across services. This role is for an engineer who wants to work on a v1 platform with real scale, ambiguity, and impact, influencing the foundation of a new system.

Build reliable, scalable services that can grow with Oracle’s software estate.
Support teams across OCI.
Influence the foundation of a new system.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in distributed service engineering or a related software development role
Strong development experience in Java or another object-oriented language
Experience building or operating distributed systems and APIs at scale
Familiarity with databases, data processing, and production-grade backend services
Experience debugging across service boundaries and improving reliability and performance
Comfort working in a large enterprise environment with ambiguous, evolving requirements
