About the Role
This 12-Month Contract opportunity is for a Senior Corporate Accountant who will ensure the Greenstone Group of companies meet Management and Board Reporting, IFRS compliant statutory Financial Statements, and Taxation Reporting and payment requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Financial Reporting and maintain supporting Accounting Policy documentation and schedules.
- Support any audit process covering all Financial or Taxation Reporting.
- Analyze and prepare monthly tax provision & annual tax return.
- Review transactional data and processes to ensure data quality for all financial information used in Financial and Taxation Reporting.
- Liaise with stakeholders and users of Financial Reports to ensure value and effectiveness of reporting produced.
- Maintain and improve Finance systems and processes to enable enhanced, timely and accurate Financial and Taxation reporting.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Preparation of Australian Company Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax Returns
- Preparation of audited General Purpose Financial Statements according to AASB/IFRS requirements for a consolidated group
- Preparation of Accounting Policy workpapers to support the introduction of a new or updated Accounting Standard, gaining sign-off from external auditors
- Preparation of Financial Reporting for the Board and/or Shareholders
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Audit/Assurance or Business Services experience in a large accounting practice, ideally including Financial Services industry clients
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, with insurance and AFSL compliance requirements is highly desirable
