About the Role

As an Environmental Simulation Test Engineer III, you will play a critical leadership role, mentoring technical staff and serving as the technical interface with customers. You will work closely with clients to develop test procedures, conduct pre-test engineering reviews, prepare test samples, execute tests, and document results. This role supports the sales team with quotations and provides input for new service offerings, ensuring client success by addressing compliance needs.

Responsibilities

Oversee and mentor technical staff members.
Serve as the technical interface with customers.
Act as a technical resource during contracted testing and sales efforts.
Work closely with customers to develop program-specific test procedures.
Involve in pre-test engineering reviews.
Prepare test samples.
Setup and execute tests.
Document test results.
Interact directly with customers.
Support the sales team in applying appropriate test standards and providing time and cost quotations.
Support Engineering in the development of new service offerings.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of industry work experience in the mechanical engineering field of Environmental Simulation Testing.
Prior experience with technical preparation of assigned test procedures for both internal and external use.
Prior experience in job costing and generation of quotations.
Familiarity with MIL-STD – 810, RTCA/DO 160 preferred.
Desired hands-on working experience in vibration and shock testing.
Desired knowledge of temperature, humidity, sand, and dust testing.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, lift, and twist.
Position requires obtaining a hearing test.
Ability to use Air Purified Respirators (APS) or Powered Air Purified Respirators (PAR) is a prerequisite for any testing that requires respiratory protection.
Background that would permit the U.S. Dept. of Defense (DoD) to issue a Secret Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
