About the Role

Responsible for the development and implementation of the bank-wide integrated Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program. Provides administrative oversight of Internal Audit, Compliance, and BSA functions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, enabling efficient and effective governance of significant risks to balance risk and reward.

Responsibilities

• Manage organizational risk by conducting activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.
• Follow direction set by President & CEO, Board of Directors, Risk & Compliance and Audit Committees of the Board of Directors.
• Review programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit consistent with the risk recognized by the Board of Directors.
• Create processes for assessing, identifying, monitoring, and mitigating business risk.
• Ensure the Bank complies with operating policies and procedures.
• Conduct meetings with C-level executives and senior management to discuss problems or explain procedural changes necessary to mitigate risk.
• Provide leadership and direction to achieve risk goals and objectives.
• Administer risk activities and foster the integration of risk management practices throughout the Bank.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive ERM governance framework.
• Oversee the Information Security team and the Bank’s vendor management process.
• Develop and revise risk management policies, ensuring quantification of management’s risk appetite.
• Prepare periodic reporting to senior management and the Board of Directors, including the Risk Dashboard, Executive Scorecard, Risk Profile, and Narrative Summary.
• Collaborate with policy administrator and counsel to ensure policies comply with banking laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Ensure new policies and policy changes are effected timely, including the introduction of new products, revised workflows, and revisions to applicable laws, rules, or regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulators, providing quarterly updates as required.
• Attend Board meetings and serve on management committees as required.

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to senior management and/or Boards of Directors.
• Possess sound judgment and a unique ability to solve problems.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Foundational competencies should include flexibility, teamwork, facilitation, initiative, leadership, risk management, and strategic planning capabilities.
