About the Role
As a Senior Bid Manager in the energy sector, you will be responsible for delivering winning bids for projects in England and Wales, contributing to the UK's energy transition and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Lead on complex or JV bids with clear communication lines established with all members of the bid team.
- Ensure agreement on company processes, systems, and governance for Joint Venture bids.
- Establish bid resource needs and evaluate team members' support and training requirements.
- Unify multiple organizations by building relationships and securing the best talent for bid positions.
- Drive and energize the bid team to achieve successful tender outcomes.
- Follow designated processes and best practices.
- Continually evaluate winning strategy and direct team resources to enhance bid success.
- Agree and arrange bid resources with the Sector Preconstruction Lead.
- Manage the tender program.
- Arrange all necessary internal meetings, including tender startup and settlement.
- Agree bid budget and monitor expenditure with the Sector Preconstruction Lead.
- Ensure a coherent bid strategy is developed in conjunction with key stakeholders.
- Decide on queries to be raised in line with the tender strategy.
- Identify key supply chain packages and suitable delivery partners.
- Communicate and share the bid strategy with the entire bid team.
- Adhere to all company and group governance procedures.
- Oversee the production of stage-gate documentation and secure required approvals.
- Verify that tender documentation undergoes appropriate technical review.
- Confirm that technical start-ups and technical reviews are completed.
- Review the program and reconcile resources with the estimator.
- Verify that relevant and timely technical information is provided to the submissions team.
