About the Role
HHM Hotels is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee accounting processes for newly opened hotels. This role involves preparing financial statements according to GAAP, training accounting staff on financial compliance, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Review monthly balance sheet packs of decentralized properties for accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and implement procedures and training for efficient accounting activities.
- Perform on-site task force assignments during coverage gaps and support regional accounting teams.
- Handle daily requests from property Controllers and on-property staff.
- Provide financial analysis for individual properties or hotel portfolios.
- Assist with hotel transitions, including on-boarding and training of property teams.
- Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate information.
- Coordinate with Regional Directors of Accounting, Controllers, and the Vice President of Financial Services.
- Oversee records management, including organization and destruction.
- Ensure compliance with government, company, franchise, and ownership requirements.
- Practice safe work habits and follow safety standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Experience administering web-based training preferred.
