Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and a welcome.
• Enter food orders using the cash register POS system.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Accept cash and return the correct change.
• Maintain a well-stocked salsa bar, drink cup lids, and napkins.
• Clean the dining room and cashier station.
• Keep beverage fridges stocked and clean.
• Upsell products such as sides, drinks, and Aguas Frescas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant and follow all food safety and health & safety guidelines.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
• Serve guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty.

Requirements

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar sales role.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good math skills.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Uphold the company's mission, vision, and values.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
