About the Role
The Associate Rating Analyst generates employee benefit quotes, including medical and ancillary products. This role requires gathering client information, applying carrier guidelines, and ensuring quote accuracy and competitiveness. The analyst collaborates with sales teams and brokers to provide exceptional service in creating employee benefits packages, utilizing proprietary and carrier quoting systems.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage a high volume of quote requests, balancing speed and accuracy.
- Collect and review detailed client information, such as employee census data, group information, plan preferences, and coverage requirements.
- Generate competitive quotes for employee benefits products, including health, dental, vision, and other ancillary products, within service level, using quoting engines/platforms.
- Customize benefits plans to align with client needs.
- Generate quotes for multiple states using carrier quoting platforms.
- Utilize CRM platforms like Salesforce and other internal systems to track pending items.
- Communicate with clients, brokers, and sales representatives to gather necessary information and answer inquiries.
- Provide clear explanations of benefits plan structures, premium costs, and coverage options.
- Assist brokers who have questions while running their own quotes on the Warner Pacific quoting engine.
- Work with the sales team, brokers, and account managers to provide support during the proposal process.
- Provide team support and desk coverage as needed.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Work overtime as needed, particularly during peak periods.
- Perform related responsibilities and additional tasks as needed.
- Stay updated on trends in employee benefits offerings, plan designs, and the competitive landscape.
- Continuously monitor industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, within service level.
- Promptly acknowledge urgent requests upon receipt.
- Respond to client inquiries, concerns, or requests for adjustments related to their benefits packages, and work to resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
- Treat all employees and internal/external customers with respect and support a positive and professional work environment.
- Adhere to company policies, including those related to punctuality, attendance, workplace conduct and professionalism.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, spreadsheets (intermediate skills).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate respect and professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
Skills
- Familiarity with employee benefits products such as group health, dental, vision, and other ancillary products is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of the Warner Pacific proprietary quoting engine and certain carrier/vendor quoting systems is required.
