About the Role

CircleCI is reinventing CI/CD with AI agents that write code, run builds, and fix issues. We are building new interfaces for developers to understand and trust AI-driven software delivery. Our guiding principles include learning fast, thinking like the customer, and owning the outcome. We hire for CircleCI, with team placement determined collaboratively based on strengths and leverage. Roles involve full-stack ownership, a high craft standard, and shaping the developer experience.

Responsibilities

Build AI-natively, using AI as the default starting point for problem-solving.
Invent new interfaces for developers to understand, trust, and act on AI-generated software delivery results.
Own the full stack, building features end-to-end in Go, React, and TypeScript.
Obsess over craft, ensuring reliability and responsiveness are design concerns.
Champion observability using Honeycomb, Datadog, and Rollbar to improve systems.
Identify and address gaps proactively as part of the team's standard.

Requirements

Engage in AI-native engineering practices, using AI tools daily and discussing their impact.
Demonstrate a track record of shipping, with 3+ years of production full-stack experience.
Possess full-stack depth, including strong React and TypeScript skills.
Be comfortable owning backend services in Go, including API design, data modeling, and service integration.
Exhibit strong system design capabilities, considering architecture and making documented tradeoffs.
Maintain a production mindset, viewing latency, responsiveness, and reliability as design concerns.
Be comfortable operating services in a distributed environment.
