About the Role
The Volunteer Recruitment Manager leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of volunteer recruitment efforts. This role translates organizational needs into data-informed outreach plans, manages inquiry engagement and onboarding, and fosters external partnerships to support a volunteer-powered organization.
Responsibilities
- Direct and improve volunteer recruitment operations, inquiry management, and application workflows.
- Design and support the implementation of recruitment strategies based on departmental needs.
- Consult with departments on volunteer role development and recruitment tactics.
- Promote inclusive and community-centered recruitment practices.
- Execute recruitment strategies across digital, community, corporate, and educational channels.
- Partner with the Communications team to design promotional materials and messaging.
- Coordinate the street team, manage volunteer members, and schedule tabling events.
- Develop community partnerships through outreach, group opportunities, and presentations.
- Cultivate relationships with schools and academic programs to support internship and partnership needs.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for recruitment and onboarding.
- Analyze and report on recruitment performance metrics to drive strategic adjustments.
- Contribute to organization-wide volunteer engagement, retention, and recognition efforts.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Support Manager to align recruitment with engagement goals.
- Support organizational events, meal delivery, and office tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Texas driver’s license, valid auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in office, field, or service settings.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including prolonged sitting or standing and lifting up to 35–50 pounds.
