About the Role

IMPACCT Brooklyn is seeking an enthusiastic Energy Fit Project Manager to oversee a pioneering demonstration project designed to significantly benefit the Brooklyn community. You will support homeowners and renters in boosting energy efficiency, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing home health and safety — all while ensuring the affordability of 38 small two- and three-family homes. • Serve as the primary point of contact between homeowners and general contractors, facilitating coordination, reviewing contractor reports, and ensuring work scopes align with project goals and homeowner needs.
  • Conduct assessments to determine homeowner eligibility and assist with the completion of program applications.
  • Identify and match appropriate funding sources to project measures and initiatives.
  • Collect, enter, and manage program data and produce timely, accurate reports.
  • Obtain homeowner consent for direct access to energy bills and usage data.
  • Follow up with clients to assess the impact on energy bills at 6- and 12-month intervals.
  • Responsible for program evaluation efforts to measure outcomes and inform continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in project and/or construction management, housing, or community development strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 3–4 years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Deep commitment to affordable housing, holistic community development, sustainability, and climate justice.
  • Willingness to commute, on occasion, to IMPACCT Brooklyn’s offices or properties with appropriate health and safety precautions in place.
  • Employees should be mobile and capable of navigating both office and field environments, including visiting clients’ homes, climbing stairs in residential buildings, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Regular community travel may be necessary.
